I definitely like Eloisa James’ style of writing, and I’ve read a few of her novels to date that I’ve enjoyed, but I’m not sure if I liked “A Fool Again” in retrospect. I haven’t read the series that this particular novella accompanies, but I found Genevieve to be a heroine that was hard to feel much sentiment for.

I believe this story could easily be made into a longer novel. She’s amping up for an engagement with her dead husband’s former business partner when her former elopement-buddy Tobias Darby shows up demanding a second go at the whole marriage thing.
