I must have something like two hundred spiritual books on my bookshelves. The main insight that I came away with was a new awareness of enlightenment, or ‘waking up’ and that is that it a very ordinary experience.

I find that when he “points to the moon,” it shines ever more brightly before me. For example I like Adya’s term “nonabiding awakening” – a temporary seeing of non-duality, which I’ve experienced a few times with much frustration about its exact temporariness. Audio CD0 pages. My review is not going to be analytical, but about how it felt. Straight talk about awakening I have most of Adyashanti’s books and this is going to be one of my favorites.

Because with spiritual awakening, you find that the strongly held beliefs and perceptions you’ve taken to be ‘you’ and ‘your world’ vanish into the unmanifest nature of all that is.

All said, while this isn’t really an introduction to Adyashanti’s teachings it is an informative follow-up for those already on their way.

The Masters’ Reincarnation Handbook: During that time, I seemed to understand myself and the world around me with a new clarity that contained none of the misery or confusion I saw in those around me. The book deals extensively with how to remain in the awakened state. It is nice to hear sincere honesty about what to expect as supposed to the usual Enlightenment sales speech.
