I personally didn’t enjoy this one because I felt it was cheesy with it’s church secrets where they’re out to kill people over preserving their knowledge from the public and the whole thing where Lourds is a handsome charming Harvard professors who all the women want. Right from the b Atlantis. I liked it a lot. He meets the TV show host in Alexandria and then examines the artifact in question. But by midway through the novel the professor is portrayed as naive catnip for these two women, in between dodging bad guys and traveling all around the world.

I had no desire to see him triumph in any of his endeavors. While excavating in Egypt for the lost library of Alexandria, he is shown a mysterious ceramic bell with inscriptions in an ancient language he has never seen before.

If I could give this book a lower rating I would. We tend to forget that the modern novel need not be brkkaw more significant than excellent entertainment, which is the perfect description of Charles Brokaw’s The Atlantis Code.

Professor Lourdes was a likeable character too. Nothing bad, nothing fantastic.

I like when an author explains certain things in more detail but those things are usually major plot points and things that are extremely relevant to the story but in this case I felt things were needlessly being explained which made the book a very tedious read at times. A character would say or ckde something and then, as if he was a Shakespearian narrator, would tell you what the character was thinking instead of it beokaw from the character.

This book reminded me a great deal of Dan Brown.

I loved the characters. Yep, from the hand of God. Also liked and cared for all the characters, which is a big plus. Ccharles main brokwa were sympathetic, the villains, despicable. Very far-fetched in it’s myths and archaeology, it’s still a fun romp with a bunch of thugs, an evil cardinal, and two beautiful women vying for our hero’s heart, a linguistics professor. Brokaw does both and keeps the reader wondering what will happen next and what he might have in store in his subsequent novels.
