Being Committed Author s: This was a predictable book and an easy read. I thought this was a nice change of pace from Behaving Like Adults since the chapters were short and sweet.

Hannah thinks you have to be absolutely nuts to want to get married. The main character was a cliched ‘zany yet well-meaning’ girl who has trouble maxetd her relationships. It’s relate-able but manages to avoid seeming tired.

When she is forced to take a mental health break of sorts from her job she uses those tools to dissect her own life. Thus, it can’t have been earth-shatteringly amazing. I wanted to give it just one star because of that, but it was really just that one page that was awful. Will she jump through his hoops or will she find her I really liked it.

The story that actually is there, however, is a good story and was the redeeming part of this book. All this reading makes me never want to go back. She writes female contemporary fiction which is viewed to be at the high end of the chick lit market. The story itself however didn’t have a lot of action or gravity to it. It could have been more than that and therapy. She thinks distance is normal. It seemed very long to me, and dragged a bit, and I’m relieved that I’m finished with fommitted and can move on to another book. Girl gets jealous and wants New J back, but has a fling with Old J in the meantime. At that time, she was married to Jack and cheated on him. I just wish it would have had a bit more of ana rush to it, something to make it a little more exciting or intense. Overall, the book was average and could have been better if it was more realistic. I feel kind of ambivalent about this book.
