The relationship between Owen and Sterling is really fully explored with emotion and the sex scenes were well done with purpose to the daavitt and not as hardcore as some other books I have read. Owen and Sterling’s interactions had me hooked right from the start; their preconceived notions about each other make for some deliciously charged scenes, both sexual and non-sexual.

Owen’s protective centered intelligence and Sterling’s sweet, needy passion, really came together as good chemistry.
In the beginning half there is a point when they are going upstairs for the first time and Owen grabs Sterling’s hand and he holds it tight and in that moment I was back a I’m a huge fan of these authors and this story does nothing to change that view. It is sexy and xnd.
Sterling is one not to be ignored; he wants Owen and is determined to have him. I think the big turn off in BDSM for me is when the sub is pathetic and needy in a bad way. The kid was spanked. Ooh, that sounds yummy! I’m glad he didn’t substitute Owen as a father figure. All that anticipation shrivels and dies because all the other firsts are off page!

There was a nice slow build up to the relationship and I don’t mean the sex where I as a reader believed that these two in spite of their different ages, family histories and general interests could embark in a lasting relationship. I am so thankful to my friend for recommending this book. Honestly, it is a sweet sweet story that has captured the heart of many readers.
Determined to get what he wants, Sterling sets out to convince the doubting Owen that he can be the best sub in the world, the fastest learning, the most obedient.

I don’t remember why I gave it 4 to begin with, but the second read was definitely 5! Whether he was hurting or not, I realized that he never learnt a darn thing and once again proven his immaturity. Owen is a seasoned Dom, so he knows what he is doing.
Original review This was another re-read for me after over a year. I kept thinking once they finally got to dettermined “that’s it? Find one and get him to give you a spanking. View all 3 comments. A lush, intense and engaging read I got totally wrapped up in. I like a dash of unreleased sexual tension in my books.
Jane mastered it, brought it to light, gave it and pulled this story off magnificently.
Although Sterling is a bratty sub to some extent you sense it is boound out of a need to be contrary but a need to know.
