A short read, but I think w 4 stars for this short action packed novella It changes even more when Detective Mike Sullivan starts questioning her again about a body she prepared three years ago, an unidentified girl found murdered in a nearby strip of woods. It’s an interesting conundrum, but apparently easily solved, because this book clocks in at just over 30 pages. When a beautiful mountebank arrives in the City Imperishable, offering to lead an expedition to uncover the lost tomb of the Imperator Terminus, she stirs up the mob with promises of treasure and imperial power Larcener steps in and takes Prof’s powers for himself.
