I was surprised by how thorough Larry Rohter was in his insights, but then again gise is married to a Brazilian and did live in the country for 15 years. Had it been more of an interest of mine, I would have probably given it another I read this book for a summer reading program at the library.

Rohter assesses Brazilian development very much through American eyes, and regularly draws comparisons between the practices and policies in the two countries. This is an insider’s view. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. I would riise never picked it up otherwise.
