Sled driver is about flying the SR71 Blackbird. The book does not do justice to the subject or the author’s life experiences, but still an interesting read for anyone who is a bit nuts about this absolutely fascinating machine United States Air Force.
There is no anguish like that of an author reading his own book, late at night, years after having written it, and wanting to tear complete pages from the binding and re-write whole sections.
