Ahora me parece absurdo lo serviles que eran. Nitobe often compares samurai to the knights of chivalry in a byshido light, which may have appealed to westerners when this was published, but really doesn’t appeal to the modern reader which has a less romantic understanding of medieval life. I mean I know busido was written in a way to appeal to the western audience but sadly it felt like such a Finally!

Waste of 2 hours. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. I would advise you to give this one a pass. I could bushkdo get through more than 50 percent of this book. I mean I know it was written in a way to appeal to the western audience but sadly it felt like such a waste.

I read this in order to give a talk on Nitobe as an “internationalist. There are much better books on the subject than this one This book was written inand it has to be one of the worst books on Bushido I have ever read.
