Another great book in the Vampire Chronicles, and possibly one of my favourites so far Always wanting everyone to notice him, to fear him, to love him, and actually giving them all the tools required to do so. Lists with This Book.

The Tale of the Body Thief

Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Once again everyone tells Lestat not to even entertain the notion. She’s way too in love with her own writing at this point. This makes me want to cronicsa more about Lestat.

It has gotten better since I heard his side of the story but I’ve become a fan after this book. What attracts you to the story and keeps you reading is the language Rice uses and the character of Lestat.

Editions of The Tale of the Body Thief by Anne Rice

The whole book I was on the edge of my seat. Her writing is lush. I savored this tale, reading it slowly each night because I just did not want it to end. Lesat is being followed by a man, a human man, who offers him a chance to be human again.

Books by Anne Rice. And wanted cuerpox Vampire body back! Yes, he’s a flawed character. He will let Lestat be human again, something Lestat believes he wants, by swapping bodies.

Lestat returns, in this the fourth novel in the Vampire Chronicles. Honestly, this could have and should have been a fabulous book. I almost felt bad for him, but I say almost because, again, it was his own fault he was in that situation. Now I understand it but it still upsets me.

None of this is an insult to vampirica writing though, it’s just Lestat’s character. It’s basically a comic book plot with strong characterization and some genuinely memorable moments.

El ladrón de cuerpos (Crónicas Vampíricas 4)

Lestat meets a former Talamasca member who has the ability to switch bodies and decides to take him up on his offer to switch bodies temporarily to feel what being human is again. Definitely one of the better sequels I’ve read so far in the series.

Lestat hems and haws and Louis and David chime in again too before he finally makes the switch, nearly halfway through the book. You weren’t human when you were alive!

Paperbackpages. Original Review E, and Moonlight And speaking of things I could read a whole book about Oct 10, Raquel rated it liked it. Mar 20, Penny rated it liked it Shelves: This would be a great movie. Round and round, without end. He had to have known the sun wouldn’t kill him.

And it’s funny how he talks of being betrayed by a dear friend when he himself betrayed a dear friend very soon after by turning David into a vampire against his will. And, to be honest, I think I’m more lacron in the others than I am in him.

Tale of the Body Thief [May 15, ] 1 5 Oct 17, I wanted to see him covorting around, just being him! This one was took the series back up a notch for me. As one expects, everything does not go as plan, and Lestat has to try and get himself out of the dangerous position he has put himself Lestat returns, in this the fourth novel in the Vampire Chronicles.

Sure, they are not action! I’ve read a great deal about your weeping in the pages of your books but I’ve never seen you weep with my own eyes. Vampiricqs do go all pear shaped as one would expect and you have a big chase that is very suspenseful as Lestat attempts to catch up with Raglan James, the body thief. Unfortunately, unlike with Anita Blake and Ayla, there really isn’t anything to snark. The anguish behind questions so fundamental like what can you do with your life to make it matter, how do you transcend, how to affect the big picture or does this big picture even matter at all.

That thread of the story is very interesting and sad and at times exciting but I really enjoyed the exploration of Lestat’s feelings for the mortal David Talbot. I should have switched bodies with the dog, I thought.

Anne Rice goes the ‘freaky friday’ route and has Lestat switching bodies with a human. Lestat de Lioncourt is front and center through all of it; the reader gets to, finally, see him fall, and seek redemption. Lestat meets a psychic who can steal bodies xuerpos decides to switch place with the guy for a year because he’s staggeringly bored with unlife. I really like this book, it is from Lqdron point of view and is interesting.
