The panic crsuh permeates his poetry may also be interpreted as the impatience that is characteristic of the internet generation. This is just one of those books that you can read all the way through and, the next day, not remember more than a handful of images or lines because there is too much junk crowding the beauty out.
A part of me wonders if some of that comes from the hype given to it, but even that aside, there are readers it seems to have spoken to. And then I just ordered the whole book hoping that unlike most modern poetry collections it would not disappoint me. Hands of the Saddlemaker Nicholas Samaras.
