I just got a 38mm Quick Silver from a freind. I took it off, put on a Keihin, and down the road.
Thats what I know about that. It seems you can adjust the mixture by turning a knob once ya got the right diameter needle. I have a model quicksilver 2 myself. Just got a Edelbrock Quicksilver carb for my bike 5 minutes ago and guess it is time to start asking some questions.
WHo has one and do you have any tuning techniques. You know whats weird is that I have edwlbrock on my bike and it is great. I am looking forward to playing with it. The time now is Some Buells came with them preinstalled in the late 90’s maybe the California S2 or S3?

However the car is really easy to tune. The 38mm Quicksilvers were an emissions carb that came on Deelbrock bikes. It is “simular” in design to Mikuni HSR. I know Mikuni does. From what I seen they are easy to tune, but I don’t have a manual or anything to go by Register now for free!
Do not confuse these carbs with the other edelbrocks as they are okay. I am waiting on the manual and then on it goes. I have my bike apart right now getting a new paint job.
