It is the story of his life, which was very little but intellectual. Unfortunately, the tedium all too often outweighs the brilliance.
This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Ultimately, I sense that this is a philosophical work, rather than a fictional work. Readers have different views on the merits of the pesssoa.
The rest, the remainder–being what wasn’t in his lone book or the sections occasionally tossed out to the public via easily discarded folios–was written almost in secret and kept in a trunk which was not discovered until after Fernando’s death.

For me The Book of Disquiet ‘s author was too presumptuous by an order of magnitude. Preview — Libro del desasosiego by Fernando Pessoa. Many items were drawn from the content of the foreword–the thirty-five page long foreword–which goes into great detail describing his hidden genius.
This ddesasosiego not the sort of book that you need to read from the beginning to the end, in that order. To know yourself badly is to think.
