Reading the novel, I can see the potential for a great TV series here and why it could be a good companion flshforward for “Lost. View all 18 comments. Clever marketing campaigns hyped it up beyond belief at least in the UKand all my friends were talking about it.

Sawyer has been described as Canada’s answer to Michael Crichton. That’s just to name a few of the key media events j.sawher are featured at the beginning of some of the chapters. His Mindscan explores the possibility of transferring human consciousness into a mechanical body, and the ensuing ethical, legal, and societal ramifications. The book has no FBI angle; it’s strictly the physicists and society that the plot centers around, and there’s j.sxwyer deeper conspiracy at play.
Then everything shifts back and we have to deal with the fallout and ramifications of things. I thought it jumped too quickly from to During that time, nearly everyone sees themselves roughly twenty-one years and six months in the future. Being a book-snob, I knew I had to try the original novel before the series comes out, so I can spend hours boring friends and family about how the book is better. In the ending, however, he makes a point about human consciousness and its existence negating the possibility of consciousness elsewhere in the universe– and boom, he’d lost me.
