Being 19 years old with a high school diploma is all that is required. If you have any sense at all you will un-ass FHP and move to a better working environment, and better pay. I’m a former Trooper, now I work for a Police Department down south.

Almost question literally and a rough interview after the test with the Psychological evaluator made for a 6 our process. FHP is an agency that is dead and going nowhere. When you have high ranking members of FHP tell you that the best thing “you” could ever do is get out, you know things are bad. Nothing but some good folks who make it into cwreer academy and leave within only a few years. Anyone know if theres going to be a transition academy the end of gog month. Fix the pay issues and keep folks that are willing to stay and that’s when we will start to see the RIGHT folks promoted.
