The courses deals with urban design as an operative field at the intersection of planning and design from political, economic and social planning and development to spatial interventions in urban scale to produce a generative urban space for the public.

Students firstly encounter with feehand the context and program are. In this course, the social features of the periods in Turkish cinema and their reflection on cinema will be discussed. This is an undergraduate course which aims to develop the basic skills for 2D architectural drawing and 3D architectural modeling using one or more computer aided design software.

Architectural History II is the second one of four general survey courses that provides students with a critical understanding of architectural developments and cross-cultural relations. The main focus of this course is on the contextual interpretation of design problem within a historical context. Creative view in advertising, advertisement corporations, planning the advertisement campaigns, copywriting, creating ads for pres media, media planning, advertisement budget, advertisement types, principles of copywriting, principles of preparing storyboard, synopsis, treatment. The course covers evaluation of factors that create the climatic environment, precautions regarding to climatic environment and standards and regulations on the subject, heat flow and movements due to heat in building elements, rules that will be taken into consideration during the design in terms of fuel economy, solar control methods, precautions to be taken against water and moisture on building, insulation systems and their details.
ARCH is intended to be the second phase of a self-teaching process for the students of architecture in terms of site organization and other aspects of building construction. The topic may vary depending on the design problem. In this course, cultural studies approach is introduced in the framework of its intellectual roots and influential thinkers; mass communication and culture, mass culture, popular culture, the commodification of culture, gender and subcultures are discussed.
This is the first studio in the Architectural Design Studio series, which totals 6 studios in all. ARCH is intended to be the last phase of a self-teaching process for the students of architecture, which complete their real life experience with their observations on and their participation to the working process of architectural office.
