Check the alpha channel for the basic fill if this happens again when using a flat color, someimes if you’ve used transparency on an knkscape created object the color fill on ttansparenz objects might be set to the same alpha value. Maybe you mean that you need transprenz have a gradient, but that it can’t have any transparency in the gradient?
