I think it’s a thousand times better than the first one, and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the reading. With these characters Kagawa was the monster of toying with your feelings; there were no clear cut answers with them, you never knew what they would do next, if you could trust them, but they triggered so many emotions within me of; confusion, laughter, hatred and rage. This book made me feel so many things- from anxiety to anticipation to short-lived joy to heartache- that I’m going to have to break down this review piece by piece.
In this book we get to see more of the “demon” inside her, and how she learns to fight it back, and we get to see those scenes where she’s really trying to hold herself back from just losing it and ripping people’s throats. Right before Sarren can kill Kanin, Jackal betrays Sarren and tries to kill him, failing to do so nearly results in Jackal’s death, but a cured Zeke rescues Jackal.

To my, Kanin never fails at any time to be an extremely important figure in the history, his relationship with Allie has grown a lot and I was delighted to see each of their moments together, I think they have come to love and care each other as a family and that sort of tie they share is one of the sweetest things in such a dark world.
Allie kagaww Stick with her old rival’s gang and attempts to talk to him since he is completely hated and ostracized by the group, but soon after she reveals her new nature and he instantly screams, causing a panic through the group and Allie’s immediate retreat.

In his last moments, Zeke professes his love for Allie and his hopes of forgiveness from God when Sarren tells them camera of his true intentions, to release the outbreak in Eden. And they are set on finding Kanin In that respect, I think he and Allie complement each other very well. And let me tell you this, Kanin is the coolest vampire ever! She needs him to keep her monster in check:. So to sum the world building was pure brilliance!

The story continues with Allison still on the search for Kanin, who’s being held hostage and tortured by Sarren, a psychotic vampire. That’s like watching a lion prey on a deer and shriek how that lion was so cold-hearted because it pounced on that poor, vulnerable deer! Allie has been wandering around by herself for four months, following the gut instincts that tell her where her sire is being kept and tortured.
