Instructions for 6396-1 – International Jetport
I always loved classic airports. While my personal favorite airport is the Century Skyway, this one still has loads of charm and a really neat design.
I loved how this set along with Breezeway Cafe brought palm trees into the Town theme. I really liked that this set came with Five baseplates. As others have mentioned, it integrates so well with other sets from the 639 time period. Back side of the instructions cover. Comparison of the three airports runways. I bought this set back in shortly before it was retired. The small island with palm trees in background could not be missing here. Unfortunately it is now stored in a box somewhere, although I must say that after all these years all the stickers are still intact.
There is no instruction for baseplate layout, placement of the windsock or radar or placement of the runway lights. Its leg little dissapointing to see the airport logo stickers, considering TLG were able to print this logo on the airplanes tail fin and the fig torsos. First up is the wind sock at the end of the runway.
Now, where are those monorail set reviews. A very nice selection, and of course, all have the classic smiley head.
He had two of them and I got the first one: Hands down Id rather have this version, even though it has over less pieces.
Thank you for such a great review! Airport photo in the same scenery as lefo the cover.

You can see the difference about which I wrote in the technical curiosities. I have this set also and i have got Century Skyway or was it City Airport, honestly i can’t remember.
This is a proud example of what is so fantastic about this site. D Lol brickset says it’s released inthat makes it 1 year before i was born, oh so great that my mother found the airport in a box unbuilt a couple years back: Leego is an overview of the layout, according to what is on the front of the box. The fact that the instruction manual finished abruptly was a leog odd too.
First up, here is the box.

Introduction For starters I present the reconstruction of the airport presentation visible at the front page of the instruction and on the front of the packaging, where the helicopter is circulating over the airport and the airplane is just taking off.
Final ratings, Design and build – 8. We get 8 of them in this set, including 3 Airport personnel, a chopper leo, a jet captain, a security guard and 2 kego travelers. One of the short sides has a elevation of the set.
Close up of the storage lockers and flight board. This a great walk down memory road.
The first vehicle – The baggage tractor. Posted February 23, It’s a bit weird though, to see a modern days internet-rewiew with the unboxing and all, and plenty of photo documentation on an old set like this. Great trip back in time. You’ve got great enthusiasm for the product and it made for an interesting and entertaining 639
I’m just wondering if anyone else has Golden-age era sets that they could review? Im almost tempted to send an order in, but it does have an expiry date of 31 March Posted February 28, A simple build with a hinge and grille plates setting up 66396 nicely detailed, and easily identifiable airport feature. Hehehehe – this is on the back of the catalogue. Im finding that if a seller does not normally ship to your country, it always 636 to ask if they will make an exception.
Only the Pirates sets at this stage featured the newer heads with detailed facial expressions and features. The second vehicle is the baggage trailer for the tractor. The great parts variation, bright colours and high playability typify the golden age of Town Lego from the late 80s and early 90s.
